What is Conference-Approved Literature?

AlAnon/Alateen uses specific literature approved by Al-Anon’s World Service Committee (WSC) and is called Conference Approved Literature or CAL.

Being approved by the WSC means that the literature has passed through the WSC’s review process which makes sure literature is reflective of Al-Anon’s Twelve Traditions and policies and written by Al-Anon members in order to represent the member perspective.

Reading and sharing the same literature also promotes unity amongst members and groups, an important aspect of Al-Anon’s Twelve Traditions, and consistency between meetings so Al-Anon remains Al-Anon wherever you may attend a meeting.
