Letter from the Minnesota Fellowship Weekend Board and Trustees

December 29, 2016

Dear Al‑Anon/Alateen Members and Friends,

After a lengthy discussion and the consideration of many factors the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Fellowship Weekend voted unanimously to cancel the 2017 event and suspend all future Minnesota Fellowship Weekend events.

We thank the many thousands of attendees for your support over our 35-year run. We also thank those many hundreds of Trusted Servants who helped the Minnesota Fellowship Weekend attain its purpose of welcoming and comforting family members of alcoholics and by understanding and encouraging our alcoholic relatives. Thank you all for your participation and practice of Tradition Five and Step Twelve.

We encourage you to attend other Minnesota events that include Al‑Anon and Al‑Anon/Alateen.

You will also find recovery, workshops, discussion meetings and fun at various group, district and area events. We encourage you to keep abreast of these events and we look forward to seeing you. As Concept Four states: Participation is the Key to Harmony.

In love and gratitude,
Minnesota Fellowship Weekend Board and Trustees
